The VCA Band Program is taught by Mr. Chris Pitman. VCA Band begins in 4th Grade and go through 12th. Attire for each band consist of white VCA polos, khaki pants and dark shoes.

4th Grade Beginning Band- For Beginning Band, the instrument choices are: the flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, saxophone and sometimes, the french horn. Students will rent or purchase their instruments at "Introduction to Band Night", which is in September and the class meets twice a week. Students are highly encouraged to take private lessons to keep up with the band. The band performs at the Christmas and Spring concerts.

5th Grade Intermediate- This is the continuation of Beginning Band. Some students opt to similar instruments during this year. Students learn additional notes and more challenging music in this band.They are also encouraged to take lessons privately and they perform for Christmas and Spring concerts.

6th-8th Concert Band- This is currently our largest band and they learn more difficult music to perform at concerts.They meet twice a week and are a part of the Pep Band which performs for Pep Rallies and certain home games.

9th-12th Symphonic Band- This band has the most experience and are able to perform a large variety of music. Their size is smaller but this does not effect their excellent sound. This dedicated group has class at 7:15a.m. twice a week. The play for Pep Rallies, PTO Meetings, festivals and concerts.
