CLASS VERSE Psalm 73: 25-26 25
Whom have I in heaven but you? 26
My flesh and my heart may fail, Mr. Person will be teaching the classes of World Studies for seventh grade and American History for eight grade.
"I am excited about the many opportunities we will have to share in the educating of your children this year. I would like to just take a moment and tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated in 2002 from Toccoa Falls Collage with a B.S. Degree in History. From 2002 through 2004 I taught in the Georgia Public School system, and I am now starting my third year here at Village. I cannot wait to experience all that God has planned for us this year. I have been blessed by God to be raised in a Godly home, and to ask Jesus into my heart and life at a young age. Throughout my Christian walk God has taught me that He is not looking for us to be perfect in all that we do. I know I am far from that, but God has taught me that we need to 'Strive for Excellence' as it says in Colossians 3:17. I trust that as we partner in educating your children, that they will put forth the same effort in all they do, and I anticipate every student will do the same. I am looking forward to introducing your children to many different cultural experiences in and outside of the classroom through the World Studies class for the seventh grade. I have been blessed with the ability to travel to every continent except Antarctica and Australia while serving on different short-term mission trips with Teen Missions International. Through each of these experiences I have come to have a love for people from other countries and for traveling. As we pray for many of these countries daily, I trust that the students will share the same burden for these people that I have. In eight grade we will be looking at the history of our country. It is my hope that they gain an understanding of the effects of many events that have taken place throughout our nations relatively young existence. America has been built on many Christian principles. Through our discussions and time together, I hope we can see how far we have fallen away from God as a society, and the need for Christians to be a shining light in our dark world."
