Village Christian Academy is supported solely by student tuition and gifts from friends of the Academy. VCA is administered by a full-time principal, a finance director, a School Committee of 10 church members, and the church administrator.

 

In addition, a PTO Executive Board, elected by VCA parents, helps administer their money made from yearly fundraisers.

 

Tuition is divided into 10 monthly payments, and there are sibling discounts. Tuition for the 2008-2009 school year will be as follows:

 

K-4th Grade $4100 ($410/month)
5-8th Grade $4150 ($415/month)
9 - 12th Grade $4200 ($420/month)

A 15% discount will be given for the second child a family enrolls and a 30% discount for each additional child enrolled.

*Fee covers all textbooks and workbooks, classroom novels (excluding Honors/AP), student planners, SAT testing, student association dues, classroom teaching supplements, technology support, library maintenance, student insurance, and extracurricular activities including Fine Arts and all JV/Varsity Sports.

 

 

*Application Fee:  $75.00 PER STUDENT FOR K5 - 12TH GRADES

This non-refundable fee must accompany each student’s application or reapplication

to VCA. This fee covers the costs associated with the application process.

 

**NEW STUDENT RESOURCE FEE:  $250.00 PER NEW STUDENT
This fee will not exceed $500 per family and covers the costs of processing a new student including records, screening, testing, orientation, interview, and billing. This registration fee is due before any screening, testing, or interviewing can take place. The registration fee is refundable should VCA choose to deny admission.

 

***STUDENT RESOURCE FEE:  $325.00 PER STUDENT FOR K5 - 12TH GRADES

This non-refundable fee is due for all returning students by June 1, 2006. New families will need to remit payment within two weeks of acceptance at the principal interview. This fee covers all textbooks and workbooks, classroom novels (excluding Honors/AP), student planners, SAT testing, student association dues, classroom teaching supplements, technology support, library maintenance, student insurance, and extracurricular activities including Fine Arts and all JV/Varsity Sports. In addition, the SRF covers capital improvements including the acquisition and improvement of our building and grounds. Additional specialized fine arts offerings such as piano keyboarding, Suzuki violin, and ballet are not included in this fee.

 

 

Bank draft will be available again this school year (2006-2007). To enroll in automated bank draft, please contact Cheryl Harris in the main office at 910-483-5500. Tuition payments can be made by check or cash only.

 

Parents only pay for the days the service is used; there is no contract. The hours for ASC are from 3-6pm. If students in grades Kindergarten-10th grade have not been picked up within 15 minutes of school dismissal, they must check in with ASC. They may not stay on campus unsupervised. Exceptions for middle school students in 7th-8th grade and high school students are home game days, and student athletes for whom a free-of-charge study hall is provided in season. Our ASC program is provided for VCA students only.
