Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Fish Class!  We have an exciting year ahead of us as God directs each day.  Proverbs 16:9  “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”

This is my third year at Village Christian Academy.  I have been teaching for five years.  I am a graduate of Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, GA, where I had the privilege of meeting my husband.  My husband and I are blessed to be teaching in the same school.  He teaches seventh and eighth grade History here at Village Christian Academy as well as coaches JV Boys/Girls Soccer.

Melissa Pritchard will be the assistant in our room this year.  I am excited about the talents and gifts she will be bringing to our classroom.  She has a son and a daughter who attend Village Christian Academy.

My desire is to serve God in whatever capacity He has for me and that is the joy of teaching because we never know what each day holds.  He has called me to teach and I want to share my passion for the Lord with the students as well.  It is my desire that they not only leave this year with academic knowledge but also with a love for the Lord and His word, the foundation for our lives.  Our class verse is Matthew 4:19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “ and I will make you fishers of men.”  Our prayer this year is that the boys and girls will demonstrate what Jesus meant when He said this to the disciples.  I trust the students will learn what it truly means to follow Jesus and live according to His ways.  The students will have opportunities to learn about others in the Bible who followed Jesus and how they became “fishers of men,” during our Bible lessons.  We will also learn about children in other countries and how to pray for their needs.

I am looking forward to teaching each of your children.  They are a gift from the Lord and I feel privileged to have them in our class. The Lord has blessed us with the plan for this school year and we will continue to trust His direction.

          Serving Him,
